Mayor's Office of Cable & Communications/TV25 shares programming with Stations in Central Maryland
TV25 is now sharing 2 award-winning original programs with Baltimore County (CCBC-TV Channel 71), Anne Arundel County (Channel 99), Harford County (Harford Cable Network), Prince Georges and Montgomery Counties (UMTV). "Mayor Dixon is committed to raising awareness of issues that affect us all and promoting substantive conversation that can lead to enhanced quality of life", stated Marilyn Harris-Davis, Executive Director of the Mayor's Office of Cable & Communications.
"Faith in Action" is a roundtable discussion providing a unique opportunity to explore contemporary issues from a variety of faith perspectives. It provides an opportunity to seek ways to incorporate values and ethics in everyday lives. "Faith in Action" is hosted by Dr. Lenneal Henderson and Gus Augustus. Dr. Henderson is the Distinguished Professor of Government and Public Administration and Senior Fellow at the William Donald Schaefer Center for Public Policy and a Senior Fellow in the Hoffberger Center for Professional Ethics at the University of Baltimore. Mr. Augustus is Special Assistant to the Mayor for Faith-based organziations. The program is the recipient of the Communicator Award and the National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors (NATOA) Award.
"X-Change" is a monthly program which provides a forum in which to discuss issues of race, class, gender, culture and ethnicity. It fosters a greater understanding between various factions of the community in a viable exchange of information. "X-Change" is hosted by Alvin Gillard, the Director of the Baltimore Community Relations Commission which is responsible for combating unlawful discrimination in employment, public accomodation, housing, education, health and welfare services. "X-Change" is the recipient of the NATOA Award and the Beacon Award.
